If you have decided on Thailand for your next holiday, you are probably very excited and are looking at different parts of Thailand before you book your 2023 holiday. In this short article, we outline some of the most popular holiday destinations in Thailand.

Phuket:

The southern province of Phuket has to be the top of our list; book a suite at one of the 4-star hotels in Phuket, Patong beach is a great place to stay, which is the centre of all nightlife. If you are planning for the summer of 2023, it is wise to book in the next few days, as Phuket is always busy. You can rent a yacht for the day and ask the skipper to take you to the best snorkelling spots, where you can swim with bottle-nose dolphins and admire the graceful movement of the giant manta ray.

Koh Samui:

This tropical paradise island is set up for tourists, with stunning beaches and 5-star luxury resorts, or you might prefer renting a poolside villa that looks over the bay. Located on the opposite side of the isthmus to Phuket, Samui island is very developed and if water sports are your thing, this is the place to go. The island is accessed by ferry from the mainland and renting a car from your hotel is advised, which gives you the freedom to explore the island and the mainland.

Pattaya:

Located in Chonburi province, Pattaya has long been a favourite for Thai and foreign tourists alike. If relaxing by the pool is your thing, there’s no better place than the Eastern Seaboard resort towns of Pattaya and Rayong. Regarding accommodation, there are budget hotels, pool villas and, of course, 5-star resorts and hotels. If you are into golf, there are many world-class courses in this part of Thailand and you can rent clubs and a pretty Thai caddy.

Hua Hin:

Located in Prachuabkhirikan province, this coastal town has long been a favourite with Bangkokians and foreign tourists, which is 3 hours’ drive from Bangkok. There are several top hotels, or you can rent a fully furnished condo unit that is right on the beach. Either way, you will love the cool breeze when enjoying the stunning beaches, plus there are many local attractions. Click here for a guide to applying for a work visa in New Zealand.

Chaing Mai:

Located in the northern part of the country, Chiang Mai is the capital of the region and not everyone likes a beach environment when they holiday. The Thai culture is very colourful and the hilltribe people are unique in many ways; enjoy hikes through stunning gorges and go white-water rafting in the Golden Triangle. If you would like to detox and relive stress, there are top-rated wellness resorts when you will be pampered in luxurious surroundings.

Don’t forget to check for entry requirements for Thailand and you either apply for a tourist visa online or receive a 45-day visa on arrival, depending on the length of your stay.
